This is a StartCG summary, not legal, tax, or investment advice. Confirm fees, forms and deadlines on the official page before you act.
One folder, same names every month
Certificate and founding papers. Invoices you sent. Invoices you received. Bank statements. Receipts for fees you paid the administration. Payroll papers once you hire. Name files by date and other party, not “final-final”.
Who does which half
The accountant prepares what IRMS asks for and tells you what is missing. You collect it before the deadline they named, not the night before. The company remains responsible for what is filed in its name. Read it.
What not to throw away
A chat is not a book. A photo of a receipt on a personal phone, with no copy in the company folder, will be the one a client or a return needs. Agree the retention question with the accountant against the current rule. This page will not invent a number of years.
